Patient safety is the main concern
We are happy to know that you are considering us for your chiropractic care. We know that choosing a doctor is a big decision. We want you to know that we only accept patients that we truly feel that we can help and we won't waste your time or your money. If you don't have a case that our natural methods can help then we will refer you to a doctor that can. Traditional Medical treatment is more expensive and more time consuming. So if we have determined that you have a chiropractic case, this is good news.
The more we know the better we can help you
Once you have completed the new patient intake form, Dr. Awender will meet with you and he will try to determine if you're a good candidate for chiropractic care. he'll ask a few questions and do a lot of listening. This is also a great time for you to ask the doctor any questions that you may have. If he doesn't think that you are a good candidate for chiropractic care, then he will tell you. If he thinks that you are and you agree then we can proceed to a short but focused examination. Although not indicated in every case, and depending on your history and exam findings, we may request X-rays or other special test.
We want to get you out of pain as quickly as possible
Depending on your history and exam, your treatment will be custom tailored to your specific needs.
We utilize many different adjusting techniques and a majority of the time we can utilize more advanced and gentler treatment options to got you better without having to do the cracking popping and twisting the people are apprehensive about. Although the actual treatment should feel very comfortable, in some instances the day after the first treatment, some patients may feel a little sore. 
We would love to be able to get you better in one visit, and it does happen in some instances, however the majority of the time it does take several visits as the healing process does take time.
You can be rest assured that we will do everything we can to get you out of pain and back to normal way of life as quickly as possible and with least number of treatments as necessary.
Follow Up Visits
Once you have gone through your first visit, follow up visits generally take only 8-12 minutes. Depending on the severity and nature of your particular condition, it may take several visits to resolve the problem. Additionally, in some circumstances reoccurring, chronic problems may have developed that will require a duration of care in the future.
There is a misconception by some that "once you go to a chiropractor you have to keep going." This is not true. In fact, chiropractic care helps to restore proper function, and therefore allows you to improve throughout treatment. However, many patients find that some course of on-going care helps them to prevent disease, live healthier, and enjoy a wellness lifestyle. For these, individuals they choose to go regularly because want to, not because they have to.
Its entirly up to you if you want to come in on a regular bases or just when you feel you need to. We are here for you when you need us.
